Workshop on Edge Intelligence

Nowadays, the number of edge devices (e.g., phones, tablets, sensors, etc.) is growing extremely fast, and these devices generate an excessive amount of data at a regular basis which constitutes big data. It is very significant to learn from such big data for intelligent applications, e.g., Smart buildings. Traditional cloud-based methods have made great achievements in learning from the big data, especially for those that allow long response delay and data aggregation from edge to cloud. Edge intelligence emerges as a promising paradigm for addressing these challenges.

EAI MONAMI 2020 Workshop on Edge Intelligence aims to address the research challenges in the areas of edge computing and machine learning for mobile networks. The Workshop looks for significant contributions to the development of edge intelligence in theoretical and practical aspects. This Workshop is intended to seek submissions from academia, industry, and government presenting novel research on edge intelligence.

Particular topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Architecture of Edge Intelligence
  • Big Data Analytics for Edge Intelligence
  • Resource Management of Edge Intelligence
  • Communication and Networking Protocols for Edge Intelligence
  • Software and Hardware for Edge Intelligence
  • 5G-enabled Services for Edge Intelligence
  • Security and Privacy Issues for Edge Intelligence
  • Applications of Edge Intelligence
  • Incentive and Business Models for Edge Intelligence
  • Implementation/Testbed/Deployment of Edge Intelligence

Submissions:

We invite workshop participation through contributions that respond to one or more of the mentioned research questions in 6-10 pages. Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
